Partying until 8 AM puts you into a different realm. There are those nights when you get home and the birds have just started chirping and its not quite as dark as it has been. 8, however, is the next level. Its fully light out and normal people are just waking up, getting ready to go to church and start their days as they go about with their everyday lives. We however are just stepping out into the daylight trying to remember
the whole night...The night began at Silk City as we rolled in there and Plastic Little was just about to step on the mic. NBC (No Bodies Child), Pack of Rats and Jon 1000 got the crowd hyped as they ripped through new and old tracks. Squid came through as well and killed it on the mic. NBC let me know they're going to have an album dropping in the near future so watch out for it as these guys are bringing something different to hip hop with crazy rhymes and ill Bmore club beats. I'm warning you now, DO NOT SLEEP on Plastic Little.
The crowd was already going crazy on the dance floor and then Tittsworth and Dave Nada came on. They worked the crowd into an absolute frenzy as they dropped track after track pushing people to their limits. The whole place was going crazy as everyone was bouncing. Normally this would have been the cap to a great night, but not tonight as we headed across the street for Pleasuretown.
I've been telling you about this for a minute but Pleasuretown is that place. That place that everyone wants to go to. That place that you never wanna leave. That place that you can consistently expect to have a good time. The Rub was back downstairs so we headed down there and Ayres was doing the damn thing. All of Silk City had followed us over and brought their energy with them and had the dance floor packed and bouncing. Lix and Gravy were on the mic keeping the crowd on point. The breakers were doing their thing and everyone was dancing.
We headed upstairs to the attic and the Town Jewelerz were on while the Philly Roller Girls were skating around getting ready for their upcoming exhibition bout. Roller derby is back with a vengeance and you can check them out this coming
Sunday.
We headed back downstairs to the main floor and Tommie Sunshine was on the decks playing his signature remixes. Felix da Housecat was up next. He brought all the glitz, the glamour, the dazzle and the neon fever you would expect. The crowd absolutely went nuts as Felix did not disappoint.
We bounced around all three floors checking out Cosmo and Brendan Brin'Em as they spun until 7, Felix and Tommie tag teaming and the Freak DJ's, Jon Gill, WallyC and Deadboy. Another crazy night as expected.
Next month its a special Thanksgiving party with the one and only Josh Wink. I think I've said too much. Keep checking back for updates on this and more. For now check the
pics.
