HOLLERTRONIX x MILKCRATE "BMORE GUTTER MUSIC"
BALTIMORE CLUB MUSIC PRESS RELEASE
"The new elctro-clash""
Many people only know Baltimore from HBO's The Wire or national crime statistics. That image of a depressed, dangerous metropolis isn't too far from the truth, yet Charm City's constant urban chaos gave birth to an ecstatic, exciting, and truly original strain of dance music: Baltimore Club.
B-More Club music is already being hailed as "the new Crunk" and taking over the turntables in nightclubs in NYC, London, Paris, and Tokyo. B-More club aggressively melds together the sweatiest and most infectious elements of house, hip-hop, and Miami Bass. Massive doses of superheavy low end are chopped up with uptempo breaks. Repetitive vocal hooks are laid on top of a frantic mix of sex-driven party chants, neighborhood anthems, and snatches of popular songs. The final result is an undeniably hyper, danceable, addictive, cathartic synergy of sound that could only have been made in Baltimore. B-More Club music is revitalizing nightlife worldwide.
Baltimore Club Crack is the first in a series of mixes on Milkcrate Records showcasing the authentic B-More sound. Club Crack rips through the biggest tunes of 1990's Baltimore; many of these now out-of-print classics are selling for $50-100 on eBay due to their scarcity. DJ Scottie B is the creator of the B-More musical genre and longtime collaborator Aaron LaCrate's is one of the producers/dj's leading the B-More sound to new heights.
On LaCrate's soon to be released nationally distributed mix entitled "Bmore Gutter Music" featuring, world famous Hollertronix's Lowbudget and Milkcrate's LaCrate join forces on a manic mix through the streets and back alleys of Baltimore City. During their stay in Bodymore, Murdaland they encounter Ninjatune/Big Dada's newest artist Spankrock who has been making a name for himself on a national tour with M.I.A. for his irresistable stage prescence.
Next they team up with, Spank's partner in crime Amanda Blank for a handful of club bangin exclusive anthems and grind-worthy tunes like, the Aaron LaCrate/Samir produced, "BLOW" and the XXXchange produced, "Grit City" - these tracks are evidence of the future of Baltimore Club music - highly infectous strands of lyrics and beats. "Bmore Gutter Music" is also jam-packed with tons of exclusive bangers produced by Lowbudget and Aaron LaCrate, flawlessly blended alongside the raw-edged classic and hard to find Baltimore Club selection.
This Cd is right on time with musical explosion that is about to take place...
